I've gone back to school to pursue a Master of Arts Leadership and Cultural Management degree that is offered by the LEAP Institute for the Arts, a special academic unit at Colorado State University. This award-winning program trains individuals for leadership roles so they can provide vision and entrepreneurship at organizations in the effort to advocate for the arts. Here's an article they interviewed me for at the start of the program.
I facilitated a team building exercise at an employee appreciation picnic for Crazy Burger in Narragansett. The employees worked together to create a painting on a 6' x 4' canvas using creative mark-making tools and techniques. The end result was a really cool abstract painting that'll hang on the wall of the restaurant.
The South County Independent interviewed me for an article for it's featured artist profile series.
I was excited to be elected President of the Art League Rhode Island in October 2016. A great organization whose mission is to provide a venue for the growth and encouragement of artists, to promote high standards in the visual arts, and to encourage community participation and appreciation of the greater Rhode Island arts community.
Newport Life Magazine hired me to create an illustration for a feature article about dyslexia. Using watercolors, I created a visual representation of how dyslexia might feel like in a reader's mind.
I was honored to be selected as a profiled artist on the Arts Business Institute's website. Click here to read the article.
I was the muralist for Dennis Moffit Painting from 2012-2014.
